Francisco Queirós built and steered development portfolios for international IPPs — growing one platform more than 5× to ~900 MW across six markets — ran group power sales and project finance, and took 52 MW / 180 MWh of battery storage from tender strategy to one of the first BESS project financings in SEE. The network comes with the mandate.
The name: Virinav contracts "Viridi Navitas" — Latin for green energy — the name the firm was founded under and still its legal name. Substance first, then made simple and practical. Same arc as the work.
Francisco is an engineer who has spent his career leading operations, businesses and strategy, always curious about how value is really made and lost.
He began in heavy industry in 1998, then spent a decade in management and corporate strategic planning at one of the world's largest consumer goods companies, learning how a large organisation runs and what it takes to manage people and numbers under pressure.
In 2010 he moved into renewable energy and never left, rising from country operations to group executive at a multi-continent IPP, with projects across Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia and Latin America.
In 2024 he founded Virinav to advise investors and developers directly, owner to owner. The advice is the product, and the breadth behind it is what makes it hold.
